Our standards
We separate confirmed facts, official claims, editorial recommendations and uncertainty. We use clear language about what a source establishes and avoid presenting assumptions as game mechanics, platform availability, rewards, rankings or player outcomes.
Our public categories are News, Reviews, Features and Guides. Each article should answer one clear player question and stay within its defined scope.
Sources and verification
We use official sources first whenever possible, including game websites, publisher or developer communications, support pages, in-game notices, patch notes and platform listings. Reliable secondary reporting may provide context when an official source is unavailable, but it is not treated as a substitute for primary evidence when a claim requires official confirmation.
We record relevant source links and dates during production. Live-service facts are checked again when a material update, platform change, event or other freshness trigger could affect the reader’s decision.
Corrections and updates
If we find a material error, we correct it as soon as reasonably possible and update the page when the change affects the reader’s understanding. Significant corrections or clarifications may be identified in the article. Please report an error to hello@goldcrit.com with the page and claim involved.
Reviews and evaluation
Reviews use explicit editorial criteria and conditional player-fit conclusions. Scores, Pros and Cons, and verdicts reflect the documented systems and product information available at review time. They do not imply hands-on testing unless the article explicitly says that hands-on testing occurred.
We do not accept payment in exchange for a higher score, a favorable verdict, a ranking position or a preferred recommendation. Publishers and developers do not receive final approval over independent editorial conclusions.
Features and guides
Comparisons and alternatives are designed to help readers identify a supported fit, not to manufacture a universal winner. Guides remain task-focused; strategy and build recommendations are versioned, evidence-backed and conditional. We do not invent undocumented rotations, tiers, rewards, spending outcomes or progression guarantees.
News and freshness
News is timestamped and attributed to the relevant official announcement, update, release or event information. We distinguish confirmed details from what remains unknown and avoid treating an old announcement or storefront listing as proof of a current condition without a targeted recheck.
Advertising, sponsored content and affiliate links
Advertising, sponsored content and affiliate links are separate from editorial decisions. The current site uses advertising and conversion-measurement services, including Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising UET, Meta/Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, Taboola, MGID, Outbrain and Cloudflare Insights. These systems may measure visits, advertising attribution and approved affiliate conversions, but they do not determine editorial conclusions, scores, rankings or recommendations.
Some pages may include contextual Play, Install or Try links to an official game site, store or other destination. These are external links. Tracked /go/* redirects may record affiliate clicks and placements using first-party attribution identifiers and server-side conversion measurement. If GoldCrit has an affiliate relationship for a link, that relationship is identified near the relevant link. Affiliate relationships do not change our evidence, scores, comparisons or player-fit recommendations, and we do not invent bonuses, urgency, discounts or guarantees.
Sponsored or commercial content
If GoldCrit publishes paid or sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Commercial arrangements do not permit undisclosed control of an editorial conclusion.
Conflicts of interest
We disclose material conflicts that could affect an article’s credibility. Where a conflict cannot be managed transparently, the contributor should not make the relevant recommendation or evaluation.
Images and attribution
We prefer relevant official, licensed or otherwise cleared visuals. We identify the source and credit required assets, and we do not use an image to imply a character, team, route, layout, reward or ranking that the article does not support. Game names, logos, artwork and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Readers can contact us with corrections, source information or questions. Please do not send confidential or sensitive personal information. Feedback can inform a review, but editorial decisions remain independent and are not determined by the loudest response.
