Quick answer
A Scopely Account is STFC’s official account path for connecting and protecting access to your game progress. The current login policy is passwordless: use a verification code sent to the email linked to your Scopely Account. The same account is also used for the official Web Store. Rewards, offers, events, and promotions can have separate conditions and may be temporary.
What a Scopely Account does in STFC
Star Trek Fleet Command’s official site asks players to connect an account through the app to save their progress. In practical terms, a Scopely Account is the official sign-in path to keep access to the STFC profile you intend to use and to sign in to the official Web Store.
It is not a promise of a reward by itself. An event reward, a store offer, a free bundle, or a campaign can each have its own eligibility, timing, Operations-level, or platform conditions.
The official STFC site currently lists Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android. That platform list does not mean every platform uses the same account-transfer process. This guide only explains the transfer paths documented by official support.
For a source-qualified orientation to the systems presented after setup, see our Star Trek Fleet Command beginner guide.
How to create or connect a Scopely Account
The documented in-game path
Current official STFC material shows this navigation route:
Player Profile → Settings → General → Scopely Account
Use that route to create or connect the account that will protect the progress you intend to keep. Then follow the current prompts shown in the game. Do not sign into a different or newly created Scopely Account when you are trying to restore an existing profile.
Passwordless email verification
STFC’s February 2026 login-security update says Scopely Accounts use passwordless login. Sign-in uses a verification code sent to the email linked to the Scopely Account.
Keep access to that email address. If you no longer have access, the official update directs players to Customer Support. GoldCrit does not provide an alternative verification, email-change, account-merge, unlinking, or relinking procedure because the current public official sources reviewed for this guide do not document one.
Using STFC across devices
Android to Android and iOS to iOS
Official STFC support documents Google Play as the Android-to-Android sign-in route and Game Center as the iOS-to-iOS route. On a new device, its current support instructions say to download the game, complete the tutorial, then open Player Profile → Settings → General and use the relevant sign-in method.
Those are same-platform mobile instructions. They should not be treated as proof that every device type, region, or account state follows the same route.
Android and iOS transfers
Official STFC support documents an Android ↔ iOS transfer path through a Scopely Account. After downloading the game and completing the tutorial on the new device, the documented route is Player Profile → Settings → General → Scopely Account, then sign in to the correct account.
The support article still uses older password wording. For the credential step, follow the newer official passwordless policy: use the verification code sent to the email linked to your Scopely Account.
This is a documented Android/iOS path. It is not evidence of a universal transfer process between every platform.
What is not currently documented for PC and Mac
The official STFC site currently lists Windows and Mac, but the current public support article reviewed for this guide does not publish a matching PC/Mac account-transfer walkthrough.
Do not assume that Android/iOS instructions can be copied to PC or Mac. Do not use unofficial workarounds, region changes, or account changes to try to force a transfer. If your situation involves PC or Mac, check the current official support route before changing accounts.
If STFC progress appears missing
Official STFC support explains that a profile that appears reset can be a temporary profile rather than the progress you expected. It identifies three relevant situations: launching without the Scopely Account, using a different or newly created Scopely Account, or installing on a new device without restoring the original account.
Start with the safest check:
- Confirm which Scopely Account holds the progress you want to recover.
- Open Player Profile → Settings → General → Scopely Account.
- Follow the current passwordless email-verification prompt for that account.
- If the expected profile does not return, contact official STFC Support.
The official recovery article asks affected players to provide their old username and the username currently showing in the game. This is a support route, not a guaranteed result or a stated recovery timeframe.
Official STFC rewards: what is permanent and what changes
The table below separates official mechanisms from individual rewards. A mechanism can remain available while the rewards shown through it change.
| Mechanism | What it does | Permanent or time-limited? | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scopely Account | Connects account access and supports the official progress-recovery and Web Store paths. | Account mechanism. | It does not guarantee a reward or an all-platform transfer procedure. |
| Official Web Store | Lets players use a browser to purchase in-game content directly from Scopely. | Official service; offers can change. | A Scopely Account is required for purchases. Payment options can vary by country. |
| In-game events | Can award rewards after the relevant event conditions are met. | Time-limited and event-specific. | Rewards must be collected while the event remains visible, according to official support. |
| Alliance events | Can award rewards for eligible alliance participation. | Time-limited and event-specific. | Support says eligibility includes joining before the event, scoring, and staying in the alliance until it ends. |
| Free virtual bundles | A June 2026 official update discussed smoother claims for free virtual bundles. | System feature; a particular bundle is not guaranteed. | Do not treat this as evidence that a specific free bundle is available today. |
| Battle Pass and Web Store offers | A current-patch example can include free-track rewards or a Web Store bonus. | Patch- and offer-specific. | Check the current patch, Operations-level conditions, and offer wording before relying on it. |
| Redeem Code | Official Web Store function for a verified code. | Redemption mechanism; individual codes are temporary. | This article does not list or validate codes. |
In-game events and alliance-event eligibility
The official Events support page says that rewards should be collected while the event remains visible in the Events tab. It also explains that some events can have their own participation rules.
For alliance-event rewards, official support states that players need to be in the alliance before the event begins, score points in that event, and remain in the alliance until it ends. These rules are useful context for a player deciding whether a reward is obtainable; they are not a guarantee that every event will use the same conditions.
Web Store access and offers
The official STFC Web Store is a browser-based store for purchasing in-game content directly from Scopely. Official support says a Scopely Account is required to log in and make purchases.
Support also says the store can be accessed from any country, while payment options can vary by country. GoldCrit does not interpret that as a promise that every offer, payment method, discount, promotion, or game download is available in every territory.
Free bundles, Battle Pass rewards, and temporary campaigns
Official STFC updates show why individual reward claims need dates. For example, the June 2026 bundle-claim update discussed free virtual bundles as a claim type. The Update 94 patch notes, published on 20 August 2026, describe its own Battle Pass rewards and a stated Web Store benefit for certain Battle Pass offers.
These are examples of official, versioned systems—not a permanent reward schedule. Before acting on a free bundle, Battle Pass reward, or Web Store promotion, check the current official event, patch, or store information for its eligibility and availability.
Where official promo codes fit
The official STFC site includes a Redeem Code destination in its Web Store navigation. That confirms the existence of an official redemption mechanism.
It does not tell you that a code is available now, which account can use one, what a code grants, or when it expires. Code availability, rewards, eligibility, and expiry require separate current verification.
Until then, use official STFC campaign or support information for the specific reward you are considering. Do not rely on historic code lists, screenshots, or third-party pages as proof that a promotion still works.
Common account and reward mistakes
- Treating a Scopely Account as a reward programme. It is an official account and access mechanism; rewards can have separate conditions.
- Using a different account during recovery. A different or newly created Scopely Account can leave you viewing a temporary profile instead of the profile you expected.
- Following old password instructions. Current official policy is passwordless email verification.
- Assuming mobile transfer instructions cover PC or Mac. Official evidence in this guide only documents mobile same-platform paths and Android ↔ iOS through a Scopely Account.
- Calling the Web Store a free-rewards page. It is officially described as a browser-based purchase store; individual offers and free claims can change.
- Assuming an event reward is automatic. Event and alliance-event rewards can require participation, eligibility, and collection before an event disappears.
- Treating a promo-code history as a current offer. The Redeem Code function exists, but code validity needs a separate, current official check.
